SUPPORT OUR MISSION.

As a non-profit, overseen by a volunteer board of directors, the Mitchell Prehistoric Indian Village depends on the generosity of individuals, businesses, foundations, and others to help support its mission. Your tax-deductible gift will help preserve and protect the Village and support research to expand the understanding and awareness of the people who lived here more than 1,000 years ago. A contribution of $100 or more includes access to over 1,000 arts and cultural institutions throughout North America.

sponsor an archaeology student

Every summer, a team of anthropology/archaeology students from the University of Exeter, England comes to the Village for a month to excavate within the Thomsen Center Archeodome. Not only does the Summer Archaeology Field School help these students learn the science and techniques of field archaeology, but their work has also led to many fascinating discoveries, helping us to learn more about the people who lived here 1,100 years ago.

For a donation of $100, you can help sponsor one of the students. Once the team of students is finalized, we will let you know the name of your student archaeologist and they will provide you with a briefing on their work during the field school. Thank you!
