The Village on the Bluff
The Village on the Bluff by Ron Robinson (with contributions by Dr. L. Adrien Hannus, our chief archaeologist) is the only book ever written about our site. Beautiful photographs depict some of the countless artifacts recovered from the Village and the text explains how this bluff once overlooking Firesteel Creek became the home of South Dakota's first farmers over 1,100 years ago. This book is one of our main fundraising items as all proceeds from the sale of each copy come back to the Mitchell Prehistoric Indian Village.
